What Is This For?

  • I put together a 2-day (one day major and one day minor) Jazz-focused practice routine for some of my students to work on over their Winter break that I wanted to share with others that might find it beneficial. While I rotate elements out; this is the same routine I use to focus on technique, range, etc.; but I think a major benefit is that it's also a play along so you can rest as long as you play
  • The exercises are not licks, but you can use them as such if they help you connect your ideas.

Who Is It For?

  • Students needing help with range, endurance, and want to focus on their Jazz technique.
  • It is written for intermediate level students. However, if the range is too high, you can always start in a different spot. If the play along tempos are too fast (or too slow); you can purchase DrumGenius and adjust them as necessary
